My MiFi powered off without pressing the Power button

This may occur under any of the following circumstances:

  • To conserve battery power, by default, if there are no connected devices and there is no touchscreen activity for two hours, the MiFi shuts off.
  • MiFi automatically restarting after configuration changes.
  • Pressing the Reset button or Restore Factory Settings on the touchscreen or Admin web UI.
  • Restoring the configuration settings.
  • Battery depletion.

To restore power, follow these steps:

  1. Manually press and hold the MiFi Power button for three seconds to turn it back on.
  2. If the battery is depleted, charge the MiFi with the wall charger.

To change the Shutdown setting:

  • Go to Configure > Preferences in Inseego Connect.
  • Go to Settings > Preferences > Device Preferences in the Admin web UI. (This option is not available for all devices.)
