What is 5G?

5G is the fifth generation of mobile networks. It was first rolled out in 2018 and since then it has become a standard for phones and other connected devices using 5G. It is the super fast successor to the previous generation 4G because, in theory, you can achieve a download speed of 4.2 gigabits per second.
