What is V2X?

V2X refers to the communication between vehicles and infrastructure, or "vehicle-to-everything" communication. This type of communication is designed to improve safety and efficiency on the road by allowing vehicles to share data with each other and with the infrastructure around them.

V2X technology uses a variety of communication methods, including Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC), Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X), and Bluetooth. DSRC is a short-range communication method that uses radio waves to exchange data between vehicles and roadside infrastructure, such as traffic lights and road signs. C-V2X is a cellular-based communication method that uses cellular towers to connect vehicles to each other and to the infrastructure around them. Bluetooth is a short-range communication method that can be used to connect vehicles to devices, such as phones and computers.

V2X technology is still in development, but it has the potential to revolutionise the way we travel. By allowing vehicles to communicate with each other and with the infrastructure around them, V2X technology can help to reduce accidents, improve traffic flow, and make our roads safer and more efficient.
