What is Edge Computing?

Edge computing is a type of computing where data is processed at the edge of a network, close to the source of the data. This is in contrast to traditional centralised computing, where data is processed in a central location.

Edge computing has several advantages over traditional centralised computing. First, it can reduce latency, since data does not have to travel as far to be processed. Second, it can improve security, since data is not stored in a central location where it could be more easily compromised. Finally, it can reduce costs, since data can be processed closer to where it is generated, without the need to send it to a central location.
