Novatel Wireless Requests Extension from Nasdaq to File First Quarter Form 10-Q

SAN DIEGO, Oct 20, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ:NVTL), a leading provider of wireless broadband access solutions, today announced that it has requested that the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel (the "Panel") extend the date by which the Company must file its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, through November 17, 2008, and continue the listing of the Company's securities on The NASDAQ Global Select Market pending the Company's return to compliance with NASDAQ's filing requirement.

As disclosed by press release dated August 7, 2008 and in accordance with the terms of the Panel's earlier decision, the Company was required to file the Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 with the Securities and Exchange Commission by October 17, 2008. The Company's securities will remain listed on The NASDAQ Global Select Market pending consideration of the Company's request by the Panel.
