Novatel Wireless Receives Investment From Intel Capital

San Diego, CA – November 6, 2000 – Novatel Wireless, Inc., a provider of wireless data modems and software, announced that it has received an investment from Intel Capital as part of its Series D financing round. Novatel Wireless intends to use the funds to continue development of its high speed wireless data offerings. Financial details were not disclosed.

Novatel Wireless is a provider of wireless data products enabling mobile access to Internet and corporate LAN applications through a variety of wireless technologies including CDPD, Ricochet 128 kbps, GPRS and CDMA 1xRTT. In addition, Intel and Novatel Wireless have agreed to cooperate on future wireless technology initiatives.
